Meet Our Guides

By trade, a fulltime firefighter/paramedic, Frank has over 20 years experience in fly-fishing for Trout, Bass, Steelhead & Salmon, and Pike & Musky. He has taught Fly Casting, Fitness for the Fly-Fisherman, Aquatic Entomology, Steelhead/Salmon Seminars, and Stream Reading classes at many local flyshops. He is also a graduate of the Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Outfitters Guide School in Colorado. His experiences in fly-fishing have carried him throughout the country. Frank also serves as President for the Gary Borger Chapter of Trout Unlimited and is a member of the Federation of Flyfishers.

Ron has over 25 years of extensive fly fishing experience in such exotic places as New Zealand, Australia, England, France, Vietnam, Canada, and Austria. He has also fly-fished most of the continental states including Yellowstone National Park and Alaska. He is a graduate of the Orvis endorsed Yellowstone Outfitters Guide Academy, and experienced fly tier and fly-casting instructor. Ron also works part-time for the Orvis Company Store in Deerfield as well as being involved in his local Trout Unlimted Chapter.

Greg is a fulltime carpenter out of Lake County, Illinois and Wisconsin. He works at Orvis in Deerfield Part-Time. With 10 years experience in fly-fishing and a member of Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter of Trout Unlimited, Greg has only fished for trout and some experience in Salmon. He spends most of his time in Southwestern Wisconsin fishing for Naturally reproducing Brook and Brown Trout in beautiful Spring Creeks that cover plenty of the area with many opportunities of great fishing throughout the season with either Dry Flies or Nymphs.
